Ive always had troubled reading and some versions of the bible fly over my head and I miss the point. With the message version it is easy to understand it the messages make sense to me now. I am so happy I found this version.

How often we try to read the Bible only to become frustrated because it dose not seem to make sense. What a blessing to be able to read the Bible the way we speak today.The Message is clear and puts meaning back into Bible reading. Thank God for this translation or paraphrase.

I have found this bible very easy to find the books and to read. Very good.

I began reading the book of James. So wonderful to be able to read and understand the deep truths hidden their. I am glad I got this app. It is my favorite of all the Bible apps I have.

Needs a few minor additions but overall a very good app. Easy to email suggestions. Worth the $$

Some bad moments

The paid version is buggy and I only got a partial bible after paying for it with no or at least difficult to find customer support.

Skeptical at first, I have found The Message to maintain tone and meaning very well. Great for those unfamiliar with scripture or those whose eyes are glazing over with familiarity.

This app used to be pretty good but it has gone downhill. All my notes have been duplicated five times; it is a mess. Will not switch into landscape mode. Trying to send a support note from within the app causes it to unload; the app often, often just unloads and has to be relaunched. I send emails to the developer but do not even get a "noted"; just silence. It is disappointing when someone just wants to read the Bible. Not to developer: stop focusing on new features. Consistency is better than having lots of features. Take this to heart and really think about it. Consistency, dependability, reliability -- this is what needs your focus.

Who ever would have thought that a text originally scribbled onto parchments and little tablets could be enjoyed so easily on a 21st century computer! Yet, in a way, the small size of the modern "tablet" is quite well suited for reading bible chapters: The chapter increments fit well on several screen scroll-lengths, which I find just right for reading on my iPod or iPhone on my commute. I have always felt a bit overwhelmed by the whole bible in book form. Reading with this application, on the other hand, keeps me moving along, eager to get through the slow parts, yet at the same time encouraging reflection: with the joy of reaching the end of each chapter (like a little reward, in a way) is also the opportunity to pause, re-read and let the words and meaning of the stories sink in. As I am gaining more positive experience with bible reading in this way, it is also helping me on the times when I read in book form for one reason or another- now I have had so many little successful experiences with the application, that the book is less intimidating. I also love the easy switching between translations - it really deepens the opportunity to compare nuances of possible meanings. It is leading me to a much improved understanding of the bible and encourages active thought from different angles. Highly recommended. Has been a life changing experience. Thank you for making such a great application to share the word!

Ive read the entire Old Testament and 1/3 of the New Testament with this app.

This application has helped to expand my Bible reading and comprehension. The ability to go back and forth between the NRSB, the NIV, The Amplified and Petersons Message is so clarifying to my understanding. I will be adding to the collection as my needs expand. Thank you!
